Freelance Account Manager
At Headshot Day, it's all about people. In front of and behind the camera. As Account Manager you're the face to our clients. You make sure they feel well taken care of, that shoots run smoothly and that relationships grow. Hybrid role, Amsterdam-based, freelance.
Tasks

You are the first point of contact for our clients — from onboarding to long-term collaboration. You coordinate the logistics around shoot days, keep communication tight, and identify opportunities for upsell or contract renewal. On shoot days, you will be present on location. In between, you will work from home or the office on planning and client contact.

You have 2 to 5 years of experience in a customer-facing B2B role. You communicate warmly and professionally — in both Dutch and English. You work independently, are proactive, and stay calm when three things are happening at once. Experience in photography, events, or hospitality is a plus. Not a requirement — but an advantage.

We are looking for a
Headshot Day has a strong product, a growing client list and a clear market. What we're looking for is someone who can cash in on that. You identify the right companies, build relationships and close deals. Fully remote, fully commission-based, no ceiling.

You are responsible for the entire sales cycle — from prospecting to closing. You approach corporate prospects through outbound outreach, LinkedIn, and your own network. You qualify inbound leads and convert them into paying customers. You build a pipeline of enterprise and SME opportunities and represent Headshot Day at relevant networking events. After closing, you hand over clients warmly to the Account Manager.
You have 2 to 5 years of (B2B) sales experience — preferably in services, professional services, the creative industry, or HR-related sectors. You have a proven track record — we want to hear the numbers. You are fluent in Dutch and English. You work independently, are result-driven, and have a consultative approach. Experience selling to HR, marketing, or operations decision-makers is a major advantage.

At Headshot Day, it's all about the photo. Not the perfect photo, but the real portrait. The shot where someone thinks: yes, that's me. We're looking for an experienced photographer who gets that and who puts people at ease before the first frame is taken.
Tasks

You photograph corporate teams on location — at companies in and around Amsterdam. Depending on the assignment, you will work together with our team — makeup artist, production manager and/or founder — or independently. You follow our shoot flow and work within the client's brand guidelines — style, background and atmosphere are agreed upon in advance. At the end of the shoot day, you deliver the raw images. Our editor takes care of the rest.

You have demonstrable experience in portrait or corporate photography — a strong portfolio speaks for itself. You work quickly and precisely without people feeling it. You put people at ease — even those who would normally prefer not to be in front of the camera. You are reliable, punctual, and work well within a structured shoot environment. You know how to work with studio lights and deliver consistent results regardless of the location. Having your own studio lighting set is a major plus. Experience with tethered shooting or on-site photo selection is an additional advantage.

What roles are there at Headshot Day?
We work with photographers, production leads and makeup/hair stylists. Sometimes we also look for freelancers for specific shoots or larger projects.
Is it possible to work as a freelancer?
Yes, most collaborations are on a freelance basis. You work per assignment and are booked for shoots that match your availability and expertise.
Do I need experience with corporate photography?
Experience helps, but we look more at your attitude, approach and people skills. Putting people at ease in front of the camera matters just as much as technical knowledge.
What does an average workday look like?
Shoot days are structured and intense. You start with setup, then work a full day with a team of colleagues, and finish with teardown. Everything runs to a tight day schedule.

Do you also work outside Amsterdam?
Yes. We're a mobile team and travel throughout the Netherlands. For assignments outside the Randstad, travel costs are reimbursed.
